Woven by hand.Chosen with care.

Cane, rattan, jute and cotton, shaped the slow way by people who have done it their whole lives. Every basket that reaches our shelf has been checked by us first — that's the whole promise.

What we stock

Four families of goods, one material honesty

Nothing here is pressed plastic pretending to be cane. If it looks woven, it was woven.

What’s in the shop right now

Every piece is made by hand, so sizes are nominal and no two are identical — the piece you receive will vary slightly from the one shown. Prices are a guide and confirmed in the shop. Ask us about anything and we’ll send a photo of the actual item.

From reed to shelf

Four hands, four stages, no shortcuts

The order matters — skip a stage and the piece splits within a year. This is why handmade takes longer, and why it lasts.

Stage one

Harvest

Cane and jute are cut at maturity, when the fibre is strong but still willing to bend.

Stage two

Soak & split

Days in water, then split by hand into even strands. Machine-splitting frays the grain.

Stage three

Weave

Over, under, pulled tight. A mid-size basket is a full day's work for one weaver.

Stage four

Cure & check

Sun-dried, sealed, then inspected by us before it earns a place on the shelf.

The name

Sadhona means devoted practice — the kind of skill that only comes from doing one thing, carefully, for years.

We took that name because it describes the people who make what we sell. A weaver doesn't learn the craft in a season. The tension in a rim, the way a handle is bound so it never works loose — that's decades of repetition, held in the hands.

Our part is smaller but it matters: we go and look. We buy directly, we pay properly, and we turn away the pieces that aren't right. That's what the sign above our door is promising when it says where authenticity meets trust.

Ask for something we don’t have

Send a photo of what you have in mind — a picture from anywhere, a sketch, or a piece you already own. Tell us the size and we’ll come back with whether it can be woven, what it costs, and how long it takes.

JPG or PNG. Large photos are shrunk automatically before sending.

We reply on WhatsApp, usually the same day. No obligation — plenty of people ask and decide later.

Come and handle them

The shop is the showroom

Weight, finish and smell tell you more in ten seconds than any photograph. We'd rather you came in.
